Running After Goals

Lately, I have been reading up on some illustration books to learn and widen my art knowledge. The following image is created using a new technique that I have learned called text wrap which aligns the text around the image. The text used is my thoughts on the subject of going after one’s goals. Together with the black and white design, it does give it a whole poster or magazine vibe to it. I like how it is very different from my usual cute doodling style.

Going after the goals in life is like running towards the end point. The goal seems unattainable and far away at the beginning. Yet if you break it all down, it is all about taking steps to reach the goal. If you have the courage to start with that first step, you will be one step closer. And if you proceed with the next step and the many ones after it, before you know it, you are way ahead.

But because the logic to reaching your goal is so simple, you may start to have doubts, develop boredom and lose sight of your goal.  At times, you may be tempted to stop, feel sorry or frustrated at yourself for trying and even give up on your goal. However, if have the tenacity to overcome these temptations, focus on the goal and complete all the steps till the very end, sweet success is yours to enjoy. After all, it is just one step at a time.

I believe I am one step closer to my goal. I hope it is the same for you! 😀
